Queen Visionary of the Pilgrimage Journey through the Archetypal Feminine.
My dharma in this lifetime is helping women restore their femininity and reclaim their power, in service to the feminine rising in our world.
I began my immersion in women's studies over three decades ago. It was a path that appeared before me that gave me no choice but to step onto it.
I was in a tremendous amount of internal turmoil as I struggled to reconcile my sense of faith with the pain of my upbringing. Separation from my body and my sexuality, separation from my deepest heart, separation from a sense of God that truly reflected me… these things plagued me with insecurity and fear throughout my twenties.
I knew that finding a sense of security in myself, of coherence in my being and of fulfillment in my life, depended on me finding the way to reconcile that rift within me. I also knew that the deep injury to my inner feminine needed to be tended to. And I always had a knowing that there was ‘something more’, it was something that I couldn’t articulate but that I knew in my heart existed. Teachers began to show up on my path and I began to realize that there was actually SO much more, and that there are pathways to that deep feminine self that are
available to all of us.
It began, for me, with a conscious choice to break from the hellfire and brimstone style Baptist church of my upbringing, and head out on a mission to find some other path to deity that was more suited to me. At that point I had only an inkling of the extensive recovery from the trauma of my childhood that lay ahead of me, but some part of me knew that I was going to need some version of faith and God to get me through the journey to come.
I remember the very first time I encountered a spiritual path that had a feminine orientation. A college dorm mate recommended a book about Wicca, and in those pages I found rituals for worshiping Goddess. It was like the doors to the temple had been flung wide open because from there the next book, the next dream, the next teacher appeared along the way and without me consciously realizing it, I had set off on my very first Pilgrimage…long before I would have even really understood what that word meant. As I followed each next illuminated step along the path, I began to know myself and trust myself and trust that I was, indeed, coming into a relationship with something greater than me.
There was a quickening that began to happen as childhood traumas began to surface that needed tending, and the path started leading me to healers where I could get help. I met my first true witch when I was 22 and my first true shaman when I was 23. Each became huge figures in my life and introduced me to what would eventually become my own gifts to give. As I kept going and kept growing, I ultimately found a deeply healing path through my lifelong passion for dance, through women’s circles and through Tantra. I kept going and I kept getting more and more powerful, and women started asking me to teach and to lead.
I had many experiences in those days of synchronistically landing in places that were, unbeknownst to me before I arrived, places that people from all over the world came to pray. Each new place introduced me to yet another archetype and my relationship with the archetypal realm continued to deepen. The more that happened, the more I prayed and the more I felt a calling to devote myself to this path. The women who studied with me wanted more, so I explored more. I studied more. I taught more. And I came to see the distinct similarities between outward pilgrimages and inward ones.
The day I decided I wanted to lead women on pilgrimage to sacred sites, I was standing on a beach in Mexico where I had gone to spend a week with my spiritual teachers. Having just returned from dancing at the Temple of Ixchel, I wished I could give the feelings of pleasure and expansion and connection I felt in that moment to every woman that I knew. Upon my return home, the Feminine Archetypes came flooding into my awareness with an undeniable clarity that began to inform all of the sexuality and sensuality work I was already doing with women. From there, everything flourished into all the journeys
I lead women on today.
In essence, I discovered the Beauty Way into the deep feminine, and it’s my joy and my passion to share this wisdom with you.
